Heathergate House Vacation Rental en Victoria

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Heathergate House.||Ann & Ned are gracious hosts; friendly & helpful.||There are 3 self contained suites, all with their own entrance, patio & garden area. ||We stayed in Wildflower. It has 1 bedroom, bathroom, living/dining area and a well equipped kitchen. They do stock coffee, tea, sugar, individual butter & milk. ||The suite was spotlessly clean.||The weather was good so we were able to enjoy the patio.||It is located in James Bay, a quiet residential area. ||The only down side is parking. All area residents park on the street. ||Heathergate does have 2 parking spaces and we were fortunate to get one.||It is within easy walking distance of Fishermans' Wharf, a shopping area with several small shops and restaurants including a Thrifty's Grocery store, pharmacy & liquor store.||The Inner Harbour area is about a 15-20 minute walk.||It was a perfect spot for a few days' get away. ||It would also be quite suitable for longer stays.||We would definitely stay again.

Three of us (sisters) stayed at the "Cottage" over the Labour Day long weekend 2021 and were thoroughly delighted with the experience. It is walking distance to the harbour , grocery store, bank, liquor store and dining----how convenient. All of that and yet the area is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The best of both worlds. ||||The "Cottage" had a private outdoor breakfast area, fully renovated modern bathroom with in floor heating, two well appointed bedrooms with great beds/linen, the sofa bed was "as comfortable as a regular bed" , a dining room, living room and well stocked kitchen . Every room was meticulously clean. What more could we ask for?||||The entire experience was a 10/10 wonderfully rounded out by a great host!|||| I would highly recommend staying here.

Heathergate cottage is tucked in the heart of James Bay and is close to all the attractions of the area by foot.. Our expert hosts Ned and Ann, made us feel welcome. The patio entrance is stunning beautiful with all the shrubbery and flowers. The cottage is quaint and beautifully decorated. The furniture is comfortable... including the linen draped bed. The kitchen has everything you need ... And came well stocked with all sorts of goodies and condiments. Once we were settled in, we were off to explore Victoria. We have been many times, but there is always new adventures to be had. Early risers... Early to bed... Very quiet neighborhood and a perfect getaway!|We highly recommend Heathergate .... We will be back soon!|

We stayed 3 nights in Victoria and I am so happy that we chose Heathergate House. Its stunning and Ned and Anne are perfect hosts and extremely helpful. The Danish flag on the kitchen table when we arrived was a lovely touch. The suite was large and with plenty of room for 2 people. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to cater for yourself. Everything you could possibly think of was supplied for breakfast. There was a choice of several cereals, the fridge had milk, yoghurt, butter, eggs, muffins and bread. Filter coffee and several types of teas were also supplied. Heathergate is located in a quiet residential area about 10 minutes stroll to the town. There is parking for 1 or 2 cars. A wonderful stay with extremely nice and service minded hosts. It was also a big plus having access to laundry facilities after several days on the road.

We stayed 2 nights in Pennyroyal suite. The kitchen comes complete with everything you need for a delicious breakfast. You can prepare eggs or pancakes and muffins are also provided. The little sitting room was comfortable. the location is perfect for walking around. It is close to the Fisherman wharf- go to Barb's fish and chips- amazing- and close to the downtown for shopping and enjoying the sites.The suite is at the back of the house. The only negative is the bedroom is under the owners living/dining room and we were kept awake by the moving of chairs and conversations at night going on.

My husband and I stayed in the Pennyroyal suite for three nights. What a charming place, so beautifully outfitted and very clean and comfortable. The suite is at the back away from the road, quiet and private. We found everything one could possibly need for a restful night and were spoiled for choice when it came to breakfast options. Lovely high quality linens and towels. We enjoyed the private sitting area in the garden immediately outside the suite; there is also an outdoor common area with tables and even a fireplace. Great location too - an easy walk to Thrifty's for groceries and not far from the inner harbour. Highly recommended!

Well done Ann & Ned. You gave us the opportunity to stay in a fantastic B & B in one of the most beautiful places. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage and it provided us with everything we needed. Plenty of breakfast supplies to choose from. All the rooms were welcoming and comfortable. Not far from downtown or the ferry - walking was not a problem. Thanks Ned for the restaurant recommendation to Heron Rock Bistro, the meal was great.

In 1995 my husband and I stayed in the Cottage at Heathergate House and loved it. I had the wonderful opportunity to stay there again recently with three family members. It was as lovely as it was before! The outside courtyard/garden is absolutely beautiful and is the perfect place to have a cup of coffee before heading out for a day of sightseeing. The cottage itself is clean, spacious, comfortable, bright and well appointed. The fridge and cupboards were well stocked with more food than the four of us could eat during our 5 day stay. Heathergate House is conveniently located in James Bay, close to everything! Ned and Ann are consummate hosts and made us feel very welcome. I would recommend Heathergate House to anyone who wants to ensure a wonderful visit to Victoria, BC.
