Victoria Bed & Breakfast House en Victoria

We have been in many B&B places. This location is not what we expected. Except the view nothing was good there. Starting from the arrival. You enter the house through the garage??? Nobody available to meet and greet. You have to wonder around the house to look for your room. After some time owner finally showed up to check how many people will be staying. Originally it supposed to be just two adults however we have decided to take our kids with us. We have reported to the owner that we will have 2 kids staying with us. Usually kids stay for free but the owner demanded $70 per kid per night asking to pay $280 additional for them for 2 night's. We did not wanted anything for free but $280 for kids was way too excessive. Eventually we settled for $100. This supposed to be breakfast included deal, however breakfast was scheduled at 830 in am which wad way too late for us since my business was in the morning and I had to leave at 730. I have asked if we can have breakfast served sooner but owner said he will not accommodate our request. So, no breakfast for us even it was paid for. In the garage you supposed to change your shoes to some sleepers. I would do that however my shoe size is 14. Those sleepers were dirty anyway and available in one size only. Room was pretty ok but the bathroom entrance was from the hallway so you have to go outside your room to use shower and bathroom. Shower door was hard to close and we had a problem to close it. Room supposed to have WiFi access. No wifi available since the room was too far from the router and there was no signal so I couldn't do any work and I had to go to the lobby to have some connectivity but even this was not great. Room had TV but no cable or any box so TV was unusable as well. It's a house so you can hear everything happening around and next to your room. Hard to get sleep. Parking was limited to 4 cars only so when I arrived late I had to park on the street. Laundry was $20 per load if you wanted to use it. After all it was rather terrible experience. Pictures looked nice on the Expedia but reality was something different. I do not recommend this place. Unaccomodating greedy owners. Strange set up. Didn't get any rest.

Pros: Beautiful location with a spectacular view. The B&B was super and the room was beautifully set up. Breakfast on the patio was absolutely lovely and fancy. The owners were nice and accommodating.|Cons: The most confusing part was checking in as I did not have a local phone and could not figure out how to reach the owner. No worries, I figured it out. My unit (22) had a shared bathroom in the hallway which was clean and well maintained. Normally, I would avoid a stay with a shared bathroom but this was not much of an inconvenience. My room was very hot in the morning (unbearable), not sure if they don't have AC or if they turned it off but if I had stayed longer I would have mentioned it to the owner. |Anyway, overall I would recommend this place without hesitation..I would also recommend driving down to the beach (5 min drive).

We went here on vacation, and we had a fantastic rest. The breakfast was delicious and they provided the kitchen so that we could cook and eat the food we bought separately. The room and bathroom were clean and warm, so I could stay comfortable. Also, it was romantic to see the sea from the room, and it was nice to watch Netflix on the TV in the room. However, the soundproofing was a little bad, but there was no problem falling asleep. 사장님 두분 너무 친절하셨고, 김치도 나눠주셨어요! 정말 감사합니다. 강아지도 너무 귀여웠어요😄

Fabulous! The room I sews has a ocean view of the harbour ans Esquimalt Bird Sanctuary. Hosts were attentive and generous. My room was quite large. The bed was comfortable. Morning sunrise was glorious. Breakfasta were wxcellent with giis portions, garden fresh veggies, homemade blueberry jam, and fresh coffee. I would definitely recommend this B&B and will stay again.

Great stay with Mandy - she could not have been a more welcoming, genuine host. Nothing was too much trouble and she made us feel at home immediately on arrival. Our room was large and well appointed, as was the en suite bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. We stayed overnight en route to Skye. We would recommend staying here - we would not hesitate to return.

I had a detailed review about the many problems that this b&b had, but it wasn't able to post it. So, the entrance to the basement b&b was the cold garage. The slippers we were supposed to use was used by other people and was dirty. The whole downstairs was cold. No comfortable place to sit. No use of that beautiful viewed terrace upstairs. The bathroom wasn't cleaned all our stay. There was a used towel on the glass shower door and a used bar of soap with hair on it. Our used towels laid on the floor for four nights. The bedroom was cold and my wife slept in her clothes.. She didn't want to use the shower when the bathroom was cold too. Bathroom heater went in and then off shortly thereafter. We couldn't cancel after the first night. The owner it was non-refundable. The breakfast was the same everyday. It sat on the table cold when we sat down at 8-8:30am. The house was out of way. They don't have a restaurant. They don't have a front desk 24 hours. And they don't do any hosting or special goodies and such. As a former b&b owner, I wouldn't recommend this b&b. It's very unfortunate. We felt like prisoners for our forced four night stay! You decide.

Accommodating proprietors. Friendly and helpful. Tastefully prepared breakfasts each morning. Didn't like the floured coffee and that was all that was prepared. Great coffee place down the road. Beautiful setting with a private patio. Close to Aldene street Galloping Goose entry point. Easy access to the beach for an early morning stroll before breakfast.

The host and hostess were super kind and considerate. The stay was amazing. Everything was done for our comfort and enjoyment. You were able to order food as well and it was home-cooked and delicious. We really enjoyed our stay. We played backgammon in the nice living room area with a gigantic picture window overlooking the ocean view with a full moon. There were freshly cut flowers on the table there. You could see breathtaking Mt. Baker clearly. It was a perfect stay. The hostess told me her home was "our home".
