Casona Valdés en Santiago

Súper, no pude elegir mejor donde llegar a Santiago, un sitio económico, al estilo colonial, una casona de 1904 así que si esperas lujos no es lo tuyo pero si quieres un sitio, seguro, funcional, independiente y bien ubicado te la recomiendo al 100%, excelente relación calidad-precio.

Lindo, colonial, habitaciones muy completas, cocina y baño bien dotados, la anfitriona es muy amable. El sector es agradable y a dos cuadras vive Gabriel Boric 😁 por lo tanto hay buena presencia de la policía (carabineros) alrededor

Hice la reserva para mi novio que tenía un importante examen y quería estudiar tranquilo antes de ir a darlo. Llegó a hotel y por más que llamó, tocó timbre numerosas veces, la puerta, etc., nadie salió. Literalmente lo dejaron en la calle. Dejó una nota para que pudieran comunicarse con él, nadie llamó y más encima dejaron la reserva como "completada", por lo que probablemente tienen que haberle hecho el cobro por tres noches que no usó... mal, mal, mal.

My husband and I are artists and when we visit a new city we love to see what's out there. We couldn't have come to a more interesting part of town for us. This neighborhood is full of street art, we probably took 200 photos of murals near the inn. We took their neighborhood heritage and city tours. Unbeatable for an insider’s look at old-town Santiago and for best-kept secrets unavailable to all the tourists downtown. We then asked for them to put together a private tour of Quintay and Valparaiso and arrange for ocean-side accommodations. They went out of their way to put together a travel itinerary for us. Our daughter now wants to visit and we are putting them in touch with the folks at Casona Valdes.

I stayed at Casona Valdes for a few days, and I was very impressed! It is hidden on a small street (tell the taxi Huerfanos 2900 block) which is nice because you get to enjoy the peace whilst still being close to everything - from the farmer's market to the metro to delicious restaurants ... it's a great location. Inside, the building is beautiful and elegant. There's a charming courtyard perfect for enjoying your breakfast or dinner. Each room is has its own stocked bathroom with a hot shower, kitchenette, wifi access, and full sized bed! Casona Valdes has all the comforts of home and the little luxuries you miss while travelling - like the washer and dryer in the building!||||The staff was really welcoming (they speak English and Spanish) and Jim, the owner, is really knowledgeable about the local scene in Chile. He offered many tips and words of advice that helped during my stay in Santiago. Nathaniel, who worked there, helped me navigate the city. I would have been absolutely lost without the kindness of the people at Casona Valdes. I wish I had the chance to spend more time there!

As a single woman traveler I chose to stay at Casona Valdes because I was only in town for a few days and it is right around the corner from two major museums that I wanted to see. Barrio Yungay is a quiet, safe bohemian neighborhood. It's away from the hustle-bustle, very neighborhoodly and walkable, but close to the metro, which can bring you wherever you'd like in the city. I was very impressed by Santiago's metro. Jim also took the time to introduce me to some great nearby restaurants. You can stay downtown in any old hotel, but stay at Casona Valdes if you're looking for more personalized service and local knowledge. I was treated, and felt like, I was staying in a friend's home. And having a fully-furnished kitchenette was a nice convenience. I plan to return to Casona Valdes for a more extended stay to explore more of Santiago.
